My Final Demonstration
Detailed Lesson Plan
On the 8th
of November, 2017, I implemented a revised lesson on World History about
the French Revolution to a Grade 8 class. This lesson was well done.
All the objectives were achieved. Students left the classroom knowing the story
behind the Revolution of the people in France. I utilized multiple strategies
in this lesson. Tableau, direct instruction, discovery, cooperative
learning, discussion, creative skills, cognitive skills and communication
skills were some of the strategies that helped to make this lesson a success. I
changed my introduction from my previous lesson. This was done to accommodate
the bodily/kinaesthetic learners. The interpersonal, verbal, visual and logical
intelligences were accommodated in this lesson.
The tableau activity
generated much interest among students. I used more of the Promethean board in
this lesson. The use of the Active Inspire flip charts stimulated their
thinking and assisted them in making good tableau. Students did not utilize the
graphic organizer adequately. The extract could have been displayed on flip
charts or power point slides.
